ABOUT
Founded by Michelle Bocker and Anna Balthasar, Studio.absTime seeks to challenge the artistic practices around technology, connecting with experiences that are materialised into visual and sound installations that operate from complex intersections of the arts, nature and poetical technological language.
The duo seeks to propose methodologies around artistic research, making visible sensory and conceptual systems that elevate the poetic experience of those who immerse themselves in these universes. In addition, they propose to influence the notion of territory from the social, political and cultural connotations of oneself, as well as in the development of a space that allows the perception, resonance and percussion of the bodies, customs and times of those who inhabit it.
Between nature and technology, movements and the subjective perception of time and the balance of social space and proximity, the duo’s work focuses on female perspectives through the use of poetic computing, artificial intelligence, software and new technologies.
